Below is the information regarding the 2018 Large Ensemble Contest at Crookston High School on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018. Attached below are the necessary MSHSL Documents, which can also be found on the MSHSL website.
Upon arrival schools will be directed to the Band Room (B113), this room will act as the preliminary warm-up and storage area for cases and coats. The Band Room (B113) will be the staging area for the "on deck" band. Each group will have 30 minutes in the band room before moving to the auditorium stage for their performance. Each entry will be given 30 minutes on stage to perform their selections. Following each performance one of the three judges will provide comments directly to the ensemble on stage. When not warming up or performing, students are encouraged to sit in the auditorium to listen to the other performing groups.

Please plan to bring all sticks, mallets, beaters, and any additional instruments needed.

Please note:
- Each school must perform a minimum of two selections, one of which must be from the MSHSL Approved Music List.
- Each school must provide 3 original scores of each performed piece for each of the three judges.
- Mail Registration, Eligibility Statement, Performance Seating Sketch (basic rows with number of chairs) and Fee of $60/ensemble payable to MSHSL by April 1st to:

- Scores will be posted as quickly as possible following each performance.
- Classes are in session at CHS during the contest, students should not leave the music wing.
