Adrianne Winger, Director of Choirs
Mrs. Winger is no stranger to Crookston! A 1994 graduate from Crookston Central, she went to UND to get her Vocal and Instrumental Degree in Music Education. From 2006 - 2022 she taught PreK-12 Music for the Climax-Shelly Public School.
Adrianne Winger was also a Crookston School Board Member from 2010 -2022, resigning only when she taught a 5th Section of Kindergarten when Crookston needed the help for the 2022-2023 school year.
You have probably seen Mrs. Winger with the Crookston Marching Band as Director of the Marching Treasurettes and Shields since the summer of 2006. GO PIRATES!! Mrs. Winger took the title of Concert Band Director, Beginning Band Director, 1st and 2nd Grade Elementary Music Teacher and the Crookston Middle School Choirs Director in the 2023-2024 school year. S
tarting the 2024-2025 Mrs. Winger will take on the roll of Crookston Director of Choirs. She will direct the 6th Grade, Jr. High, Concert and Pop Choirs.

Lori Carlson - Director of Orchestras
Ms. Carlson is a 1996 graduate of Crookston High School. She attained her Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College, and a Masters of Education degrees from Saint Mary’s University. She has taught orchestra twenty two years in Winona, MN. During her years in Winona she also taught private string lessons and string method courses at Winona State University and Saint Mary’s University, Ms. Carlson also worked with the La Crosse Area Youth Symphony Orchestras, and performed with the La Crosse and Winona Symphonies. In 2012 she was named the Winona Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Carlson is excited to be teaching in Crookston and share her love of music and string playing with Highland and CHS students. She strives to help each student feel successful, and connect with music, and feel part of a positive group of peers.

Manny Green - Director of Bands
Originally from Woodbury, Minnesota, Mr. Green pursued his college education at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN where he recieved a Bachelors Degree in Music Education in 2023. With extended family in nearby Grand Forks, I have spent a lot of time in this beautiful area of Minnesota. I have a wealth of experience teaching band at all levels, including marching and pep band, and I am eager to bring my passion for music education to this wonderful community.
My goal is to foster a band community that emphasizes teamwork and provides a variety of opportunities for students to express their love and excitement for music.
