Crookston CMS Choir

The Crookston CMS Choir is a mixed choir that combines the 6th Grade Choir and the Jr. High Choir. Choir members work on developing their music reading skills, vocal heath and techniques along with learning choral singing skills through a variety of musical genres.

Along with vocal and musical development, choir members will use teamwork, respect, responsibility, performance techniques, performance etiquette, and music history and literacy.  Members are required to participate daily and work on developing their musical skills and growing as a vocal musician.  Members also are required to perform in all class and public performances  throughout the year.  

Class Grading Scale

40% Daily Musicianship
- on time to class
- ready to work and rehearse
- has all needed supplies
- working towards better musicianship skills
- Being a Respectful, Responsible, Citizen in the Ensemble

30 % Individual Musicianship Skills
- paper/pencil assessments
- individual playing/singing evaluations
- Theory evaluations
- Concert Critiques and othe written assignments.

 30%-Group Performances
