Jr. High Band

Prerequisite: 6th Grade Band
Must be in 7th and 8th grade with 1-2 years of playing their instrument.
Junior High Band meets daily for 1 class period.

The Crookston Jr. High Band provides outstanding performance based music education through experiences for all lucky enough to have chosen to continue in their instrumental music education in BAND.

Concerts
Lessons
How do you act? 33%
On Time to class and all scheduled events
Following all Directions/Rules/Expectations of class
Being Positive with a constructive attitude
Actively involved in rehearsals/performances
Working on improving your musicianship
Communicate on time with director
How well do you know and play your instrument? 33%

Students have the opportunity to join band at the beginning of 5th Grade!
In 6th grade, students continue to study the instrument they chose in 5th grade. Each year they will get better and more confident with their skills!
Students can also start band in 6th grade, but will need to work a bit harder to catch up to their classmates since they will have already been playing their instruments for a year!
